“There is nothing so constant as change” is one of the truest sayings ever spoken/written.

Sometimes that time is short, and other times could be a relatively longer time, and might need a shake-up to get it to move on (ala Newton’s Law of Motion). Isn’t it the “norms” that have moved on? (I do understand what you meant, even if it took awhile) Whether it is called a trend or a fad (anyone have any Pet Rocks?), it all changes into something else, or disappears completely, after a time.
